Exceptional Marilyn Monroe photograph c. 1954. Wonderful black and white 8"x10" candid image captures the very essence of Marilyn as she smiles with a timeless grace. Lefty O'Doul and Joe DiMaggio are visible on either side of Marilyn who is wearing her black fur coat. An interesting detail of the image is Marilyn apparently having an injured finger given visible splint. Clarity and registration are absolutely stunning. Stamped "Pacific Stars and Stripes" on back with Feb. 1954 date stamping. The offered image was the finest of its type within the DiMaggio Collection and one of the more exceptional Monroe original photographs we have encountered, in general. Includes signed letter of provenance from DiMaggio's granddaughters. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA (Type I) with "DiMaggio Collection" labeling: NM
