A FINE BLUE AND WHITE ‘MING-STYLE’ BOTTLE VASE
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bulbous body is decorated in vibrant tones with a band of composite floral scrolls above stylised lappets. The shoulder is decorated with a band of ruyi-heads and a further floral band, all below upright leaves to the neck and a band of crashing waves enclosing the mouth rim.
