AN IRREGULAR SHE ‘MOON AND CLOUD’ SLATE-LIKE INKSTONE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The inkwell is carved as a full moon surrounded by scrolling clouds. The reverse in inscribed with a poetic inscription, followed by Renshen qiuri Qinguan (Qinguan wrote on the autumn day of renshen year) , and a four-character seal mark reading Sun Xinlao cang (Collection of Sun Xinlao). Together with a lacquer box and cover.
