Provenance
Dr Edward Peart (1756 or 1758 - 1824), London and Butterwick, Lincolnshire (Lugt 891); his anonymous sale, Christie's, London, 12 April 1822 (and following days), probably lot 45 (with others) (£ 2-19; to Woodburn).
Probably with Samuel Woodburn (1786-1853), London (see Lugt 2584, without his mark); acquired at the above sale.
