De forme circulaire reposant sur un petit pied très légèrement évasé, il est recouvert d'une belle glaçure bleutée délicatement craquelée. Son bord contourné imite la forme des pétales d'une fleur ouverte.

Lot Essay

The present bowl may be compared with a similar ge-type foliate bowl from the Simon Kwan collection, also dated to the Daoguang period, and exhibited in Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing from the Kwan Collection, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1983, p. 84, catalogue no. 70.
