A George II cream jug
of pear shape, on triple scroll and hoof feet and with a shaped rim and leaf-capped double scroll handle, the body chased with rural vignettes incorporating a swan and a cow within rococo C and S-scroll cartouches, the front engraved with a monogram within a C-scroll cartouche, the underside scratch-engraved with initials, maker's initials probably S.M., London probably 1751 - 3½in. (8.75cm.)
