YANGZHOU, ATTRIBUTED TO LI JUNTING, 1780-1850
The bottle is carved on one side with a six-character inscription which may be translated as, "May your life be as enduring as metal and stone," with two small bats flying above a flower-filled basket flanked by a hoe and wine cup, and with a small seal towards the base reading jixiang (good fortune). The reverse is carved with a crane flying above a pair of ducks amidst water plants.
2 13⁄16 (7.1 cm.) in. high, pink tourmaline stopper
