AN INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
SIGNED ZHOU LEYUAN, DATED TO THE SUMMER OF THE XINMAO YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1891
The bottle is decorated with a continuous scene of goldfish swimming in a pond with delicately colored grassy rock formations, one side with an inscription including the date and the seal of the artist, the reverse with a grasshopper perched on a rock peering down on the scene.
