A PALE BROWN-OVERLAY CREAMY-BEIGE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1850
The bottle is delicately carved through the honey-brown overlay with a continous scene depicting on one side a crane perched on a rock amidst cresting waves and with a counter in its beak, opposite lingzhi fungus emerging from a rock formation below billowing clouds. The reverse is carved with a lingzhi plant emerging from a large rock formation beneath clouds and a bat in flight.
