AN INSIDE-PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
SIGNED YE ZHONGSAN, DATED TO THE MID-AUTUMN OF THE JIHAI YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1899
The bottle is decorated on one side with a boy on a buffalo, reaching out to retrieve the hat blown off his head, beneath an inscription including the date followed by one seal of the artist which reads huayin (painter's seal). The reverse is decorated with three goldfish in a lotus pond with a swallow swooping above.
2 1⁄2 in. (6.3 cm.) high, pink tourmaline stopper
