Lot Essay

An unusual album, probably the work of a capable amateur, combining studies of figures boating or posed by the river Dee, with humorous amateur theatrical portraits including "Aunt Isa" in the forest, possibly enacting a scene from Macbeth. Also including views of Drum Castle, Deeside and St. Martin's Abbey, Tayside, the former owned in the 1880s by A. Forbes Irvine of Drum, Sheriff of Argyll.
