Lot Essay

Sylla, the son of a Roman noble family who inherited a large fortune, became a questor on the coast of Numidia. Bocchus, King of Gaetulia, who formed an alliance with Jugurtha against the Roman invaders, later betrayed the latter and handed him to Sylla.
