First edition, lavishly illustrated with photographic prints. The final leaf of text lists 29 'extra Photographs illustrative of this Report [which] are not published, but the negatives are deposited at the India Office.' The present copy includes this additional suite of images.
Quarto (328 x 250mm). Folding chromolithographic map, 33 albumen prints mounted, 40 lithographic plates (map and title lightly spotted, and few corners creased and lightly dust-soiled at beginning and end). Contemporary half morocco, top edge gilt (rubbed, corners heavily).
