A TIELIMU 'SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT' ARMCHAIR
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The C-form backsplat, fitted with a mat panel, supports the carved crestrail above the mat seat set in a seat frame with setback front seat rail, and plain, beaded apron and spandrels. The whole is raised on round-section legs joined by stepped stretchers at the side and a footrest at the front.
