A PAIR OF HUALI 'SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT' ARMCHAIRS
Each has a S-form backsplat carved with archaistic dragons supporting a carved crestrail above the mat seat and plain, beaded apron and spandrels. The whole is raised on round-section legs joined by stepped stretchers on the sides and a footrest at the front.
