Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 257ff. with four flyleaves, each folio with 15ll. of black naskh within red and blue rules, gold circle verse markers, occasional notes and corrections in the margins, flower appliqués marking divisions, sura headings in red ink, the opening bifolio with bright gold illumination framing 5ll. of text in clouds on floral gold ground, colophon signed and dated, in contemporaneous red-brown leather binding with flap with gilt lattice design, paper doublures
