Based in New York and London, McCrindle amassed a distinguished and eclectic collection which spanned over five centuries, including Modern British Art, Pre-Columbian Sculptures and Old Master paintings. Much of McCrindle’s collection was bequeathed to over 30 public institutions worldwide, including the Frick Collection, New York; the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; and the National Gallery of Art, London, to name a few.
