This Astrua-retailed yellow gold reference 530 is one of the most impressive oversized chronographs ever made by Patek Philippe. It immediately captures the attention with its incredibly charismatic silvered dial double-signed with the highly-prestigious Turin retailer’s signature.

Reference 530 is considered one of the most appealing vintage Patek Philippe references thanks to its large 36 mm size and eternally classic looks. Originally released as a time only model, the chronograph version, with the same reference number and design was introduced in 1937. Reference 530 is undoubtedly one of Patek Philippe's signature pieces and was the first large Calatrava watch to be produced in series. So rare and so striking, its simple elegance and still modern aesthetic transcends fashion. It is also one of the rarest Patek Philippe vintage chronographs with only 140 examples made in total. According to Patek Philippe scholars, only 80 reference 530 were ever made in yellow gold and of those 80, only 40 have returned to the market over the years.
Astrua Torino
Founded by Vincenzo Astrua in Torino in 1860, the retailer Astrua was one of the few firms allowed to put their names on dials of wristwatches of prestigious brands such as Patek Philippe and Rolex.
