A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE SQUARE VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The tall facetted vase is of square section and decorated on each side with a figural scene from popular novels and plays, including scenes from The Romance of the Western Chamber and The Old Book of Tang. The shoulder is decorated with peony sprays, supporting the trumpet-form neck decorated with landscape scenes.
