A TIANHUANG SEAL AND A YELLOW SOAPSTONE SEAL CARVED BY HAN DENG'AN FOR CHEN KUILONG
TIANHUANG SEAL: DATED BY INSCRIPTION TO THE CYCLICAL YIHAI YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1935; SOAPSTONE SEAL: REPUBLIC PERIOD
The tianhuang seal is incised on one side with an inscription signed by Han Deng'an with the cyclical date, the seal face carved in intaglio with three characters reading song shou tang (Hall of Pine and Longevity). The soapstone seal is carved in shallow relief with a continuous scene depicting four figures on a boat at a mountainous riverscape, with a Han Deng'an signature on top. The seal face is carved in relief with a three-character inscription reading hua jin lou.
