Lot Essay

The present lot, Patek Philippe Reference 2573/2 is an elegant 33mm Calatrava crafted from the most noble metal, platinum. The watch features a very rare diamond-set dial with three of the stones being baguette cuts placed at 3, 9, and 12 o’clock. The timepiece also has white gold leaf hands which add to the refinement of the dress watch. The lugs slightly curve downward, which add to the already comfortable wear on the wrist, thanks to the slim profile at 8mm. Completing the wristwatch is a matching Patek Philippe platinum tang buckle stamped “PP CO., SWISS.”
