JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The bowl is decorated in gilt on the exterior with four medallions enclosing the individual characters wan shou wu jiang (myriad ages without end), separated by bats and a dense ground of foliate scrolls with shou flowerheads and endless knot motifs, all reserved on a coral-red ground. The interior is painted in iron red with a shou medallion encircled by five bats (wufu).
