A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF SADAKSHARI AVALOKITESVARA
MONGOLIA, 17TH CENTURY
The four-armed figure is seated in dhyanasana on a raised lotus base with beaded rims. He is wearing a diaphanous dhoti incised with floral patterns, adorned with beaded necklaces, large disk earrings and a five-leaf tiara. The figure is richly gilt overall and the base sealed.
