Lot Essay

As the moniker suggests, the “Zenith” Daytona is coveted by watch collectors due to the special movement utilized by Rolex. Caliber 4030, found within reference 16520 is a heavily modified automatic chronograph movement based on Zenith’s El Primero Caliber 4030. Over 200 modifications were completed on the El Primero-based caliber to meet the exceptional standards of excellence from Rolex. The watch is housed in a steel Oyster case with a screw down crown and pushers, ensuring the timepiece can be worn on any occasion.
