Lot Essay

Released in 2006, Patek Philippe reference 5130 World Time is a fantastic wristwatch for avid travelers. The dial features 24 cities but remains concise and legible. Reference 5130R-001 measures at 39.5mm, which is a contemporary leap in size compared to its predecessor reference 5110 at 37mm. The larger case aids with readability for the compact, detailed dial.

Powering the timepiece is Patek Philippe’s inhouse caliber 240/228, coveting a 22k yellow gold micro-rotor to help the watch remain slim, and maintain automatic winding capabilities. The movement exemplifies expert artisanship with wonderful hand finished Côtes de Genève and anglage decoration.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been publicly offered at auction before.
