Lot Essay

Limited to 100 examples, the present lot Rotonde de Cartier reference W1556214 features an incredible flying tourbillon with running seconds indicated by Cartier’s famous “C” emblem on the tourbillon cage. The brand has meticulously crafted a bespoke caliber with the goal of fully exhibiting the whimsical, moving parts of the tourbillon. A lovely grey guilloche is featured across the dial plate of the semi-skeletonzied wristwatch, adding a sport-chic aesthetic to the complicated timepiece.
