Lot Essay
In celebration of a monumental, historic, 150-year partnership between Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co., the 2001 release of reference 5150 was an immense success. Offered in rose, yellow, and white gold, reference 5150 was only produced in 150 examples of each metal, making it a rare timepiece. The annual calendar wristwatch has a pleasing symmetrical dial configuration that is distinguished with a “T” as the 12 o’clock marker. Further, the present lot is housed in an opulent 18k rose gold officer-case which allows for the special commemorative engraving on the outer caseback, and can be opened to reveal the movement seen through the internal caseback. The present lot is an incredible timepiece that marks a special occasion and measures at a modest 36mm, making the watch suitable for a large array of wrists.
