A dry card boat compass inscribed 'Kelvin Bottomley and Baird Ltd' and indistinctly numbered '2P 2596..' (compass card discoloured and faded), the brass rim stamped No. 726 and with a broad arrow, mounted in gimbals in mahogany box -- 11in. (28cm.) wide with remains of leather strap, and lettered 'Patt.24'
