A well detailed electric powered scale model of the Portuguese Navy Torpedo Training Vessel 'Vulcano' originally built by Thorneycroft London 1905 and modelled by D.J. Abbot with masts, derricks, sheerlegs, winches and rigging, anchors, fairleads and bollards, steam winch, deck rails, companionways, open bridge with helm, binnacle, voice pipe, chart table and spray hood, flag locker, ventilators, searchlight on tracks, hatch, torpedoes, loading cradles, trolleys and tracks, torpedo tube, stayed funnel, engine room lights, aft steering position, motor boat with interior detailing, clinker built lifeboat and dinghy with bottom boards, thwarts and oars all in davits and many other details. The fibreglass hull, with simulated plating (motor removed) is fitted with twin shafts, propellors and rudder and finished in blue, black and white -- 20 x 42in. (50.8 x 106.7cm.). Stand
