An early 19th Century French Prisoner of War boxwood model of a 62 gun Ship of the Line with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, hair rails, anchors, catheads, capstan, belaying rails, gratings, companionway, simulated hammock nettings, deck light, stern davits, upper deck guns and other details. The hull, copper covered to the waterline, has carved and ink lined stern and quarter galleries (restored) -- 8½ x 11½in. (21.5 x 29.2cm.). Inlaid display base and brass bound glazed cover (later)
