Lot Essay

A very coveted timepiece, the Aquanaut reference 5065 was launched in 1997 and produced until 2006. With an attractive 'Tropical' strap, the wristwatch was Patek Philippe’s first reference with a strap made of high-tech composite. With a pattern matching the dial, the wristwatch quickly captivated collectors of the manufacture through its elegant design and became one of the firm’s most popular models.

Reference 5065 was in production from 1998 to 2006 when it was replaced by the larger reference 5165.
