A Continental 19th Century parcel-gilt ewer and basin,
the former on a bead and foliate-decorated domed circular base and with a fluted moulded shaped rim and lion's mask, caryatid, foliate and bead-decorated scroll handle, the ovoid body moulded in relief with a classical vignette, satyrs, a mask, dragons, fruit, foliage and fluting, the spout enhanced with a maiden's mask surrounded by flowers, the circular basin with conforming decoration and with a moulded rim and rising circular foot, the central box enhanced with an armorial with helmets above - height of ewer 13½in. (34.25cm.), diameter of basin 17½in. (44.25cm.), 97.25oz.
