the former both of tapering circular form, one with elaborate beaded double scroll handle and beaded foot, the body engraved with wrigglework foliage and flowers surrounding a vacant cartouche, Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1879 - 3in. (7.50cm.), the second Victorian example with moulded rim and scroll handle, the front with a vacant cartouche surrounded by foliage, London 1882, the Edwardian example with gilt-lined baluster body and leaf-capped double scroll handle, Sheffield 1905 - 8oz.
