Details
Château Montrose 1962
Saint-Estéphe, 2ème cru classé
Six bottles English bottled by Justerini & Brooks. Corroded capsules, three damaged. Bin-soiled labels, one badly stained. Levels: three top-shoulder, one upper-shoulder, one mid-shoulder, one mid/low-shoulder. Six Dutch bottled. Stained labels. Levels: one into-neck, one top-shoulder, one upper-shoulder
Tasting note: Dutch bottled. Floral notes in the expressive nose. Quite attractive with beetroot, dried currants and leather aromas. Refined. Evolving well on the taste, dried black currants with a spicy mineral note. On the finish a touch of brown apple acidity which faded away nicely revealing its balance and length. Very good wine. August 2023. EV.
