Ford would finish the 1961 season with a superb mark of 25-4 en route to the Cy Young and 1961 World Series MVP awards. The ball is inscribed in period ink across the sweet spot, "20th Win Aug. 10, 1961 Los Angeles" (in unknown hand) and has been signed by Ford on the panel beneath. The panel to the North of the sweet spot has a small mounting hole which was once used to display the baseball. Highly desirable game used baseball of significance dating to the pinnacle of the Yankees 1950-60s dynasty.
