Lot Essay

Launched by Audemars Piguet in 2019, the Code 11.59 featured a radically new design aesthetic with in-house movements. The broad collection features a wide range of offerings in materials and complications with the present reference 15210BC being one of the most pure and organic models. The watch may seem simplistic at first, but a closer inspection reveals that the incredible skeletonized lugs are only attached at the top, and that the crystal is both concave and convex. The Code 11.59 is an incredible contemporary timepiece that must be handled in the flesh to fully understand its beauty and complexity.
