the case with break arch top and broken pediment with turned urn finials, fluted columns flanking the front door, with moulded onion terminal with further finials, the white enamel Roman dial with trefoil hands and recessed centre, with apertures below for revolving day/date/month (adjustment to side), the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on gong and calendar work below, with paper retailer's label to the rear for Gebr. Wilde's Patent-Kalender-Uhr, German, first quarter 20th century -- 46in. (117cm.) high
