the hood with blind fret carving to the stepped top, turned pilasters to the angles and glazed panels to the sides, with arched trunk door and stepped plinth, the brass dial with silvered plaque signed Aylmour Stopes LONDON wiin the arch, within dolphin spandrels. with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture to the matted centre, urn and eagle spandrels, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 90½in.
