the signpost case with conventional moulded cistern cover and conforming moulding to the top, roundel covers (two replaced) to the terminals and angles of the mercury tubes, plain moulded wood frame to the printed paper barometer register scale calibrated 28 to 31and signed below Charles Howorth. fecit. Halifax within a star and wavy line border, the whole suspended from two ring handles -- 39 x 37in. (99 x 94cm.)
