the case unusually mounted by a silvered hygrometer disc engraved dry/damp numbered 1 to 30 and with adjustment square below, the barometer scale with gilt-brass framed bow fronted glass, the silvered double Vernier scales from 27 to 31 with wide bore mercury tube, the scales signed Dollond. London, twin Vernier adjustment knobs below and above the mercury thermometer with cistern below (lacking cover), with bone mercury level indicator -- 43½in. (111cm.) high
