The borders comprise various Jain deities and images. Compare the work to another Jain mandala, depicting Parsvanatha, sold at Christie's New York 17 September 1999, lot 56 for $36,800 and more recently a similar textile depicting life stories of Parsvanatha, sold at Christie's New York, 27 September 2023, lot 527 for $18,900.
