A CHINESE WUCAI PORCELAIN BALUSTER JAR AND COVER
TRANSITIONAL PERIOD, CIRCA 1650
The jar is decorated on one side with five ladies conversing on a cloudy pavilion terrace and on the other with sages, all below a 'cracked ice' band. The neck is painted with floral motifs and the domed cover features boys at play below the bud-form finial.
