The top decorated with a river landscape with stilted pavilions in gold maki-e lacquering, the side panels decorated with floral patterning in gold maki-e lacquering, with nashiji-lacquer interior, previously with compartment dividers, later mounted in a padouk frame, the panels re-used, the box with later gilt-bronze mounts,
