The drum flanked by two seated bronze figures resting on a verde antico marble base, the frieze cast in relief depicting frieze depicting goddesses, the rounded plinth adorned with chimerae and a central medallion, on tapering feet, the dial with Roman hours and Arabic minute intervals, inscribed 'Maniere a Paris', the twin barrel movement with 'tic-tac' escapement, silk suspension and countwheel strike to bell
