The balloon-shaped case mounted profusely with scrolling foliage, rocaille, C-scrolls and dragons, surmounted by a flower-filled urn, the sides with open trellis panels lined with red silk, on scrolled feet, the gilt dial with Arabic minutes and inset with enamel Roman hours, signed ENE.LENOIR. / APARIS, the twin-barrel movement with verge escapement, silk suspension and countwheel strike to bell mounted above the case, the square plates joined by five pillars, signed 'Etienne Le Noir A Paris'
