Made in 1976, it is an outstanding vintage masterpiece of Patek Philippe’s rare handicrafts division. This watch is particularly remarkable as one of a very small number of Patek Philippe artisan pocket watches that are decorated on both sides of the case with a design planned and executed as a single entity. The hand-engraving engraving is incredibly fine and artistic with a scene depicting Neptune driving his chariot and horses commanding the seas, an image that is famous throughout art history and is even to be seen in mosaics from classical antiquity.
