Lot Essay

Cast in the form of a woman sitting on her haunches and wearing a long dress, which looks like a stylised kaunakes skirt. Both arms are raised in front of her chest. S. Winkelmann, p. 93, op. cit., notes that the facial features and hairdo are nearly identical with the depiction on a compartmented seal of a seated drinking woman, which seems to come from the Kerman area.
