Lot Essay

The head is adorned with a high diadem with scrolling terminals over thick hair brushed away from the face and a twisted curl above the centre of the forehead. She wears large disc earrings . Etruscan stone sculpture was relatively rare and was usually reserved for funerary use. Human figures and animals are known from cinerary urns and grave markers.
