on laid paper, watermark Gothic P and countermark small Gothic P in a Quatrefoil
a rare, uniform set from the first edition (of three), published by Philips Galle, Antwerp
very good impressions of the first state (of two), the title-page second state (of three; no impression of the presumed first state is known)
trimmed to or just inside the platemark, retaining a fillet of blank paper outside the borderline in most places
some stains and minor foxing in places
generally in good condition
