MEIJI PERIOD (LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY), SIGNED UEMATSUKEN HOMIN WITH A CURSIVE MONOGRAM (KAO)
The cabinet finely decorated in polychrome lacquer hirakami-e, togidashi, kirikane and inlaid silver leaf and mother-of-pearl, designed with scattered fans and stylized waves, boarders decorated with hirame and interiors in fine nashiji ground, mounted with metal handles; signed on the interior of sliding door and inscribed 'with pictures of Hoshuku'
